Cornerstone Christian Academy Summer Day Camp is located at 3000 Scotty Hill Road at the facilities of Cornerstone Christian Academy.  This is a recreational day camp filled with activities and learning experiences.  It is staffed by experienced professionals who have dedicated themselves to working with children and providing a program filled with exciting activities in a fun, safe environment.  Those trained in first aid will be present to provide emergency care if needed.

PHILOSOPHY

CCA Summer Day Camp provides a recreational program for children of parents who are working or active in some other function.  Believing that children thrive in a home-type environment, the camp ensures each child a loving atmosphere designed to help the child in a positive manner and to increase the child’s interests in recreational activity.

ACTIVITIES

The activities that are offered make our program unique.  In order to form an appreciation of new experiences; all children are encouraged to participate in a wide range of activities.  These include Bible time, field trips to area sites of interest, bowling, aerobic exercises, water activities, indoor/outdoor games, library and reading time, crafts, cooking, sports skills, and skating.

FACILITIES

 Our facilities include athletic fields, a regulation gymnasium, and well-equipped playgrounds.

HAIR AND CLOTHING

Boys are to maintain a masculine hair cut at all times.  Hair must be off the eyebrows, ears, and collar.  Hair must be well groomed at all times.  Faddish, bizarre or unusual natured hairstyles (i.e. bowl cuts, hair etchings, layered, Mohawk, spiked, punk rock or Dreadlocks) are not acceptable. 

For all campers, dyed, bleached, two-toned colored hair or color different from one’s original hair color is not acceptable.

 Girls – may wear loose fitting slacks, shorts to the knee, wind pants, culottes, capris, or skirts, a Cornerstone summer day camp t-shirt, and closed in shoes unless prior authorization is given. No denim, please.           

Boys – may wear shorts to the knee, wind pants, or slacks, a Cornerstone summer day camp t-shirt, and closed-in shoes unless prior authorization is given.

 No camouflage clothing unless prior authorization is given.

 Summer Day Camp t-shirts may be purchased through the camp office.

DISCIPLINE

 With any grouping of children, there is a certain amount of control that needs to be maintained for safety and program continuity.  Proper measures will be taken to ensure control, continuity, and safety in the camp.  Parental support is coveted to help achieve these goals. Students who refuse to be cooperative will be removed from the program.

There is a $25 fee for the application.

All rates include the fees for activities.

Private tutoring is available for an additional fee.

NOTE: Payment will be due on Monday for that week.  A $15.00 late fee will be charged if paid after Monday. A $25.00 fee is assessed for each returned check.  There is a late pickup charge of $15 per quarter hour for any child picked up after 6:00 PM.
